"Come," said the Wind to the Leaves one day. "Come over the meadow and we will play. Put on your dresses of red and gold. For summer is gone and the days grow cold." ~George Cooper
Autumn, such a beautiful season. I thought that I would share a little of my home (inside & out) to give you a taste of Texas during this season. It may not be chilly here and we may not have New England's array of colorful trees, but don't be fooled because Texas has superior beauty in it's own unique style. I'm jus' sayin'!

Very soon, these beautiful yellow globes will become Limoncello
Beautiful! Your home looks lovely and cozy. Looks like it should be featured in a magazine spread:) I can't get over your "Giant" Meyer Lemon tree. WOW! What is your secret?
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph, This is my favorite time of year to decorate (even more so then Christmas) I love this season and this time for harvest and thanks. I wish I had a "secret" to getting Meyer trees this big. We brought this in a barrel 11 years ago from Cali and it just seemed to love the spot. Trust me if you saw all the other veggies I have "attempted" to grow you would know I have no secret. Happy Fall Steph.
DeleteAhhh, Austin in October.... 60 degree high one day, back to 85 for the rest! I am HOPING your post will encourage Mother Nature to bring us MORE of those cooler temps!!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying-They said another cold front is coming this week. Maybe it will drop down to the 70's and we can get our ski jackets out :)
DeleteLovely photos! I wish I were good at seasonal decorating like you are- I really enjoy it in other's homes but never seem to be able to accomplish it in mine. You should go into party planning- with your love of entertaining and knack for decor, you'd be perfect at it.
ReplyDeletePut sweet Ruby next to a pumpkin and thats all you need to bring in that seasonal decorating. I only started decorating when I had kiddos, so you have plenty of time. Thanks for the sweet compliments. If I did it for a living then it probably would not be as much fun. :)

ReplyDeleteYour home is such a happy place, beautiful inside and out, like the woman who lives there.
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet my dear friend. Love you so much.
DeleteGreat photo's Krissy! They inspire me to do some more decorating. I'm hoping our lemon tree looks like yours in the next couple of years. We did manage to get 9 lemons this year. LOL! == Julie
ReplyDeleteJulie, Don't give up on your lemons. It takes a few years to get them happy in the ground. 9 is a good start. Thanks for stopping by the blog. Miss you. K
